Get Married’s Blogger Brides Rules to Post By

Welcome to Blogger Brides! We are glad you’re here and excited to share in your wedding planning journey. We want you to inspire and be inspired, so we have created a few rules for all to observe:

  • Be Respectful of Others:  No personal attacks, defaming remarks or comments that are meant to cause others distress.  No profanity, no insults, no pornography-you get the idea. If you wouldn’t want to see it written about you or someone you love, it’s not appropriate here.
  • Keep it Legal: If you quote someone else’s work, give credit to the author. Likewise, if you a post a picture include photo credits. All photos need to be credited to photographer, in many cases it may be you. Never suggest or encourage any illegal activity.
  • Stay on topic: Blogger Brides is dedicated to brides who are planning their wedding. We are looking for blogs that discuss the wedding planning process, resources you’ve discovered or information about your love story (just a few examples).
  • No Advertisements: Keep this an advertisement free zone. No solicitations, advertising or contests postings. We ask that you refrain from promoting any of our competitors.  Also, while we definitely support your personal blog, we would appreciate if you put any links to your site in your biography.  This is a social community and will remain free of any promotions.
  • Be Safe: Never share your personal information with anyone online and do not ask anyone for their personal information (including but not limited to: email address, phone, home address, etc)
  • Be Responsible: You are responsible for what you post. Even though you are posting under a username what you write can and may be tracked back to you—so post responsibly.
  • No Spamming: No unsolicited email, junk email, or bulk email of any kind is permitted.
  • Be Courteous: We would love to hear from you after wedding, our brides are always seeking advice and who gives better advice than a previous bride. However, if you choose not to blog after your wedding please send us an email so we may pass the torch to new blogger brides.
