I think I had my first break down today..
I just cried out loud when I realised there were all these demands around me and it took my FH’s stress and sickness plus his demands to topple me over..
I had it all held in before..
I think I just needed some breathing space..
So I went and cried – it was only for half a minute..
But that moment really helped me release my stress and tension.
I was better afterward.
I’m glad I have learnt it’s ok for us girls to cry in the last few years.
I wouldn’t know how else I’d cope otherwise I think..
Sigh..
Take care you brides out there too!

Hang in there, girl, and keep letting it out when you need to. Holding in stress always just makes it so much worse. It’s more than OK to cry!
Thanks for the encouragement
I get stressed too. Sometimes all the to-dos seem to just pile up on your shoulders. That is when I take a deep breath, go to my Hubby and say, “Hug me, I REALLY need it.” Don’t let the stress get you down, hun. Focus on one task at a time and don’t be afraid to lean on your man when you need to. That is what marriage is all about and wedding planning is a great practice arena.
Vincy, you received the same lesson I did ~~IT IS OKAY TO CRY!!
I had more than one of those “I’ve had it up to here” moments & I too took that ME time and let the flood gates open. It really helped.
However what helped the most for me, just like Heather, was the big hug from the Hubby. I would just say Hunny, I need a hug & he was there for me.
So sweetie my prayers are with you b/c during the wedding planning process you can lose your sanity. Just breathe, and when you’re feeling overwhelmed, step back for a while. As they say, calmer heads prevail.
