I got my flower girl dresses for $30 from JC Penney and I absolutely love them. Kids dresses are kids dresses, and the price the bridal shops charge are absolute highway robbery. I highly recommend checking out the department stores!

  2. Oh yeah, I definitely remember all the late nights researching vendors! As for save the dates, we sent them out as a courtesy since we expect a lot of out-of-town guests, but they’re certainly not a must.

As for the dresses, I’m not sure what your budget is, but my favorite designer is Alfred Angelo, who offers some really cute flower girl outfits. I chose both my gown and my bridesmaids’ gowns from his line, so I definitely recommend checking it out. But department stores can absolutely be a great place to start, too!

  3. Sounds like you are already getting some great advice! I agree with both of the ladies who have already commented, but I’d like to add on a couple other bridesmaid and flowergirl ideas. For bridesmaids, think out of the box. Why not get a dress from your favorite store like Limited or J.Crew, etc.? And for the mini-diva’s… check out the Children’s Place or Gymboree!

One of the best suggestions for your wedding planning is to get ahold of a professional planner and ask them for a 1-2 hour free consultation. If they are professional, they will have no problem with this. You should feel free to ask for up to 3 free tips specifically for your wedding day, so pick the most important things you want information on. These blog sites are great, but at the end of consulting a planner, they should be able to get you enough discounts on services and point you to money saving areas so that you can afford their service of planning and most importantly, having your day coordinated so you can have a marvelous and stress free day.

    The most affordable to me:
Flowergirl dresses will come from JC Penney $34 and will use a coupon for added discount (they always have those available). I will puchase a sash from David’s bridal with our theme color $10 to go around it.
David’s Bridal to me have a very wide range of affordable dresses under $100 and JCPenney has a nice selection as well now (colors are limited).
