Good morning my friends!!

If you didn’t read my last post about venue hunting, Click Here To Read It :D !

It’s been way too long since I last wrote my blurbs on WordPress but there’s been a few reasons why I wasn’t able to sit down and express what’s been going on. Reason number one is that I no longer have internet at my house, because I moved! It was a sudden move but it’s a move to a gorgeous place and my family is quite enjoying the new perspective we’ve all gotten by moving there! So I got really busy moving, then various church events I helped in.
Reason number two is that I became discouraged after not being able to buy my perfect dress. Really I should have never gone to check David’s Bridal at all without some cash in my pocket. Major advice to the newbie bride… do not go “looking” without money in the bank!!

I Love You ALL for still reading my blog so much.. I have over 450 hits now.. That’s amazing! Leave me comments, I love your responses… They warm my heart :D

So here’s my update. Everything is going great between Hernan and I, we’re more in love than we’ve ever been! Valentine’s day was amazing and I was able to just relax and not talk about the wedding for once, ha ha ha! Weddings are stressful and when you have no money at all, it’s even more so. We ran into a few financial troubles during this past month and a half, so we really have not been able to save much EXCEPT for this cute little box I made that we throw all our change in! It’s great, there must be at least 70 dollars in there… Oh and I should mention that Hernan started the “Keep The Change” program from Bank Of America, were the card itself rounds off all your purchases and deposits the change into your savings account! How neat is that? Thanks B of A!

I’m still unemployed, and I definitely thinking about what my options are. It seems that no one is hiring and the economy is horrible, but I’ll most likely start my own thing, just like I always have. I have a few projects in mind but they’re all secret at the moment, when it all begins I’ll let you guys in on it… Then you can help me by being a good starting clientel! ha ha ha!

Lastly, I’m setting up a paypal account so I can sell stuff online, and also I like the idea of allowing everyone to give, just like Broke Bride 2 Be . I found her blog through google whilst I was looking for Wedding Saving tips!

For now, I think I’m just going to relax and save up. The whole David’s Bridal dress ordeal left me very emotional and vulnerable.. Believe it or not, I actually felt hurt! But what I understand now (that I didn’t understand before) is that I’m making a huge step by getting married, it’s not just one day (the wedding) and that’s all! No… I’m about to start a life with the love of my life, and although I might not have a “platinum” wedding (or even a bronze wedding, ha ha ha)…. I have already HIT THE JACKPOT! Hernan is the most wonderful man and I’ll get to keep him for the rest of my life!! :D That makes my heart melt and suddenly, wedding stuff seems so small.

    You’re financial situation sounds a lot like ours. Things will get better, it’s just a matter of time. And everything will come together for your big day.

    I went to DB too, but thankfully we were able to do a layaway but my first disappointment was the consultant sold me the wrong size on the dress I originally wanted and when I went back and talked to a new consultant I found out that they didn’t have the dress I already had on layaway in my size so I would have to order it taking it from $349 to $649. And I knew I couldn’t pay that, so the new nice consultant started helping me choose a new dress.

    And I started a change jar too!!! It’s exciting!!! I call it my “Booty Collection”. Hahaha. I dunno why I started saying that but I was holding my jar and my Fiance gave me 2 one-dollar bills and some loose change that I dropped in and I said, “You cannot have my booty.” In a funny english tone. And he just giggled. So now he gives me all of his loose change and ones and I’ve been saving .. not for a very long time, but since the beginning of May. And I have $11 and change.. I am sure there’s about $4 in change.. I had to dip in and get $3 for a gallong milk today, so hopefully I won’t have to do it again LOL.

    Good luck && congrats.
