Historic downtown Jonesborough, TN has a number of amazing eateries but, after some research, I have learned that Bistro 105 hit the top on visitor’s lists (like Trip Advisor). After hearing all the bragging and compliments, I knew I had to check this place out.
My FH and I met with India today and were given the grand tour. When first walking in the door, the Bistro looks tiny with a few tables and chairs tucked to one side and The kitchen on the other. The FH and I were looking at each other with a little anxiety at the close quarters. However, India was all smiles as she led us from the front door, up the stairs, past the bar, and up to the second floor which was surprisingly spacious.
India assured us that all the tables could be arranged and that the cake would be given a place of honour in the middle window for the guests to see when they arrived. She also gave us two limited menu choices (one lunch and the other dinner, since we are still unsure what time of day to have the wedding) and the wine and beer menus if we decide to have alcohol served. India also seemed to know just the questions I had forgotten to ask, like, what they have for kids! We will have a 3, 4, and 10 year old at the reception and at least one of them is a bit of a picky eater that I know of. India assured us that they also offer grilled cheese and the like for the younger pallet.
At the end of our little tour, we collected the menus and India took down our information, when Todd, the chef, came to greet us. He over heard us saying we hadn’t found a baker for our wedding cake and was quick to offer his advice to try out Cafe Pacific, which wasn’t far from the area. He knows the pastry chef and complimented her elaborate and beautiful cake designs. I quickly took a note and thanked them both enthusiastically.
Returning home FH and I reviewed the menus and are leaning towards a luncheon reception (due to price) which will also give my family time to wish me congrats before they head off to enjoy their weekend at nearby Gaitlinburg ^_^

It sounds like a great option, and I agree that having a lunch reception is a great money saver!
Yea its a money saver, if we did dinner it would be $600! A lunch reception will put us out under $300, which is great for a very low budget like ours.
