Just a few days ago my father come down to visit and while he was here he asked how my wedding plans were going. I told him I pretty much had all my vendors in mind but I hadn’t been 100% sold on any of the locations I’d visited. However, there was one place that I was absolutly in love with but felt it was out of my price range so I ruled it out (I blogged about it in But I Loved This Place Too. No matter where I went I would compare it to this place which is why I was getting nowhere in my search. Everything was “ok” – and I didn’t want just “ok” for my wedding.
He asked me to take him by this place so we did. My mother, fiance and I all loved this place and couldn’t wait to take him there. Once there, he fell in love with it too. He loved it even more when he found out the cost of the package that I wanted. To be honest, the packages are pretty reasonable, however my fiance and I couldn’t afford it on our own, and didn’t want to burden any of our famiy members, so we were really trying to stay within our modest budget. But once we gave my dad a walk through of the venue he offered to help us pay for our reception!!!!! I can’t begin to describe how excited and thankful I am. I really didn’t take him there with any intentions, we all just wanted to show him this great venue – but now I’ve got my top choice venue! We spoke to the catering manager and will be putting the deposit down when my dad comes to visit in another couple weeks.

What I love the most about this place is that it’s so intimate and our families won’t be seperated by a dancefloor (it’s located towards the back of the room). It’s a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere which is exactly what I want. My package includes my ceremony, cocktail hour, sit down dinner as well as my cake,
I can’t thank my father enough for once again making my dreams come true and giving me my dream location. I don’t want to get all mushy about how I feel about my dad, but seriously he’s an incredible man – not only in this case, but consistantly throughout my life as well as my sisters.
The budget that I originally had should be able to cover photography, video, etc so the amount that my fiance and I can spend ourselves still hasn’t changed.
