A gem of an Etsy shop featuring the sweetest handmade decorations and pretty things. My heart skipped a beat when I saw this adorable pom bouquet. Cuter than cute and a zillion colors to choose from...(okay, maybe just 15 but it looks crazy colorful in the best way possible!)
I would love to wrap my office in this felted garland...
And this charming custom felt cake topper is the icing on the cake of pretty, handmade things!

Meet The Cozy Project.
Who can resist a name like that?!? I love to be cozy and I love a project. And I LOVE this adorable Etsy shop filled to the brim with handmade cozies from Portland.
I have a mild obsession and am known to collect cozies from places I have been, bands I have seen, weddings I have celebrated and the "just too darn cute to pass up" ones I find. The Cozy Project definitely falls under the "just too darn cute to pass up"category.
I can never have too many cozies to keep my coffee warm or my pint glass from sweating...so send some unique and chic ones to GetMarried and I will feature them!

I'm in Salt Lake City this week for the Alt Summit and having the time of my life...it is truly the bee's knees of brilliant blogging and chock full of ridiculously talented, creative and beautiful people.
Looking forward to posting all my faves from people to parties to style to insight...let's chat next week!
Meet hiip San Francisco.
There's nothing I love more than discovering passionate, creative and just down right good people. And this is exactly what I found when I met Nicole, owner/founder of hiip San Francisco, in the pop-up shop at The Lab Event last weekend in Sonoma. Instant cool...and wait 'til you see her bags and hear the hiip story.
hiip launched with a mission to spread change in San Francisco. Inspired by the TOMS business model of one-for-one, for every hiip bag that's purchased, a hiip kit in donated to a homeless person in need. The hiip kit is filled with everyday essentials. hiip encourages those who are in San Francisco area to join her on hiip handouts. I love her desire to give back while helping build the community through purposeful interactions.
hiip styles feature names from the San Francisco Bay area...and there is truly something for everyone. So hard to decide!
So wear some charity and you will not only look great but you feel great. Just think...by buying a cute new handbag, you can help participate in changing the situation for a community.
“People connect and respond to handmade things in a different, deeper way.I seek out pieces with a soul and history, and I love layering on my own point of view.”- T. Schafhauser
Meet Sheer Addiction.
It is bold. It is feminine. It is sophisticated. It is addictive. It is stunning.
I first discovered Sheer Addiction at the Junk Bonanza and now I find myself quite frequently browsing their online shop to hold me over until the next Junk Bonanza. It's definitely a happy place for me!
Tamara Schafhauser, the creative gem behind Sheer Addiction has a wonderful way of translating her inspiration into ridiculously amazing jewelry.
From necklaces to bracelets to earrings to their adorable charm bar...everyone should own at least one of these treasures! The Wedding Collection will make you weak in the knees knowing that you have found the perfect statement piece for your big day.

As many of you know, I have a minor obsession with pillows...I always have too many on the furniture, beds...even for my pets! AND they are one of my favorite gifts to give...
So when I saw these sassy handmade pillows by Alexandra Ferguson, I instantly thought of the perfect gift for my newly married friend.
You can state your opinion - and save the earth. These must-have home accessories are constructed exclusively of recycled materials. Quality made in the USA - beginning to end. Here are a few of my favorites but check the complete collection here:
Enough said. Alexandra Ferguson pillow talk rocks.

I was instantly in love with the LilahV Modern Line found on Etsy. This collection of handmade jewelry features mid-century beads made by a European designer from the 1940's through the early 1960's. The designer had disappeared and the entire collection was lost for decades. Just recently the beads were found buried in a factory! (Crazy, cool story...the Jimmy Hoffa of beads?!?)
All of these original beads were painted on the on the sides with solid platinum followed by 22k gold for a gorgeous effect. The color pallet is ridiculously perfect with every combination.
LilahV. Vintage materials, modern design at its best!

reading more books | finishing the knitting I've started | learning to love yoga | taking a picture of something I love everyday | planning a family reunion | organizing my playlists | traveling to places I've never been | drinking more water | meeting new people and reconnecting with old friends | re-watching all six seasons of LOST | trying new restaurants | climbing a fourteen-er and doing more of what makes me happy!
One of my favorite gifts this holiday was from my sister who knows how much (a) I LOVE maps and (b) I LOVE a good puzzle.
These Personalized Hometown Puzzles from L.L. Bean feature an extract from the Delorme topographical map base centered on YOUR home! How cool. And the center piece is your home address - even shaped like a house. Adorable (and a great place to start!)
Mine is actually in progress and I'm loving the challenge...not sure which is more difficult - all of the open country or city streets?!?! I will be obsessed until it is done...tonight!
I would definitely add this to my gift guide for all occasions! SO fun for a housewarming or wedding gift.

Move over Tango Tangerine meet Emerald. The Pantone Fashion Color for 2013!
With an Irish name like Dempsey, I can't help but feel connected to this FANTASTIC color choice. My mind instantly goes to words like...fresh. lush. regal. bold.
Emerald is so versatile. You can easily go rustic, glamorous or preppy chic depending how you round out your color palette. I especially it with metallics and pastels. Coupled with mint or light pink...swoon.
Here is some emerald eye candy I rounded up as I have been daydreaming about the Color of the Year...
The holidays are truly about giving and there's nothing better than giving something that gives twice!
I discovered some really great gifts that help charities, foundations and important causes while still very special and personal gifts. This may be my favorite collection!
A number of people have asked me to put together a HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE... and of course, with me bookmarking things I everyday, I thought it was a great idea and wanted to share. There's something for most everybody!
I was drawn in by the texture and color palette and then they had me at Hope. Believe. Carpe Diem.
I am loving the collaboration between New York jewelry designer, Catherine M. Zadeh (better known to be found in Barneys or Bergdorf Goodman) and Restoration Hardware. Of this comes the chic yet rugged "Words to Live By" collection of uber cool bracelets.
Even better, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Kids Wish Network, an international charitable organization dedicated to infusing hope, creating happy memories and improving the quality of life for children experiencing life-altering situations.
