Another great clutch discovery over at Allisa Jacob's shop on Etsy! Love. Love. Love.
I am smitten with these petite cosmetic bags - and the hand embroidery is divine. All of the charming details -from the fabric to the structure to the impeccable stitching. Adorable.
Allisa Jacobs' shop features custom wedding collections with oodles of colors and variations to choose from...so cute that you are guaranteed a bridesmaid bear hug and a grateful shriek of joy (at least that's what I would do!).
I love that many of the bags are made of fabric that Allisa has designed herself! So cool. So happy to have found Allisa Jacobs on Etsy!
Cheers!

With Bridal Fashion Week in New York last week, I am giddy with all the images from the runway as designers reveal their collections for Fall 2013.
While designers have shown some pretty crazy collections in the past, Vera Wang may have seemed to shock the most with the least shocking color of all...ivory. No black or crimson.
And lace was everywhere! The collection from Claire Pettibone may be one of the freshest to hit the runway and one of my favorites. The embroidery, ribbons and splash of color made for the most divine of details.
Trends rising to the top seem to include...
{lace overlays, sleeves, bold headpieces, hints of colors,
illusion necklines (my fave!) and allover sequins.}
Way hard to narrow down but here a few of my initial favorites down the runway...
Overall, I get a sense of understated quality while still opulent and beautiful.
Lucky brides.
Cheers!

The perfect mix of refined style + modern chic.
I fell in love and cannot resist these adorable embroidered statement necklaces by Zelma Rose.
With color combinations inspired by Martha Stewart's color palettes coupled with hand embroidery, these not only make THE cutest bridesmaid or mother-of-the-bride gifts but truly become an heirloom piece.
Zelma Rose's shop on Etsy also features equally cool lockets, geometric, constellation and cross-stitched statement necklaces. Don't forget the trending pocket squares and bow tie boutonnieres for the guys!

And Zelma Rose is a FINALIST in the Martha Stewart's American Made Awards...so cool and deservedly-so! You can see her profile here.
Cheers!

Nothing gets me more excited than a new way to wear your monogram. And being type and font obsessed, this is a match made in heaven...letterpress pendants!
These pendants were actually salvaged from the New York Center for Book Arts and have been cast, plated and hung to create the most beautiful and unexpected pendants.
I adore all of Erica Weiner's designs and originally stumbled upon her creations at one of my favorite neighborhood shops, Patina. Visiting her storefront in NYC is definitely on my to-do-list next time I'm in the Big Apple.
Cheers!
I recently stumbled across Delezhen on Etsy and I am SO HAPPY I did!
Delezhen has stunning handmade jewelry featuring vibrant, faceted natural stones. The design is simple and sweet and my favorite part is the hand stamped leaves with personalization.
The bridesmaid sets are the perfect gift and accessory for your best girls!

This made my day yesterday!
There's nothing better than A.) An unexpected package in the mail {I
mail} and B.) what's inside is a visual map of the choreography to Michael Jackson's Thriller and CD!?!
How fun and creative is this teaser for my friends' big day! A perfect sampler for the energy they bring to any celebration.
OMG. Friday Night Video flashback. It's like riding bike. It's all coming back to me. Fantastic.
And fantastic are Bill & Jess! I am so lucky to be part of the wedding party and help them celebrate. And celebrate we will!
Cheers!
I get all warm and fuzzy when I think of my latte...ahhh! And seeing this neutral in a wedding palette is having the same effect. simple. gorgeous.
It is a perfect pairing for a bold pop of color but my favorite is when layered with other neutrals...blush, tans and browns.

I
the Wedding Chicks Shop!
The vintage-style custom hankies are one of my faves. Perfect sweetness as a Save the Date, invitation, favors or bridemaid keepsake.
Check out their complete collection here.
p.s. the artwork on their totes is also Today I Love...worthy!
I am a crazy animal lover so this influx of pets in weddings has me thrilled to bits!
One of my most memorable wedding photos of my mom is her with her beloved champion hunting dog, Huntington's Go Boy. I love that she had this photo taken - and how to this day, her
melts for that dog and this photo.

So whether or not you are a fan of furry friends, you have to check out these undeniably sweet pets helping celebrate the big day. Awwwwww...
Even if you opt to not include your four-legged family member in the ceremony, I definitely think it would be worth it to capture them in one your shoots. Like Mom, you too will find them some of your most favorite and memorable of the day.
Cheers!
This is seriously THE BEST and most creative wedding website I have seen.
The groom, Grayden, a San-Diego based designer, designed the site and did an amazing job chronicling their love affair, featuring a photo slide show and providing details for the big day with an RSVP.
My favorite part may be the wedding party introductions! I immediately pictured how I would have depicted MY wedding party this way as they too were quite a cast of characters - and still are for that matter. (I may still just need to do this for the heck of it!)
I love how I feel that I know them and wanted to hang out with them and the whole wedding party?!? Let's be friends! That's when I know it's good.
Check out the whole wedding site here.
Cheers!
My heart melted when I saw these super cute locket rings by The Darling Bluebird at IndieWed in Milwaukee. Each contains a sweet typed message with the ultimate fortune...will you be my bridesmaid? You can also order with custom messages!
Get these in your colors and they are a charming accesory for the big day and every day after. Simply adorable.

One the latest trends that I find SO fabulous is that brides and grooms are picking their wedding parties more and more based on their relationships and who stands up on their side rather than like a 6th grade school dance with boys on one side, girls on the other.
So yes, I can experience this trend real-time...I am so honored to be asked to be a groomswoman for the very first time! A dear friend of mine is getting married this fall and he has asked me to stand up on his side along with his other closest friends - guys and girls alike. Fantastic idea! I would have loved to have my brother by MY side!
However, with this comes a whole new learning experience as we prep for the big day and make sure we are doing everything we girl friends can to support the groom - and look amazing too.
One of my first thoughts was...this is awesome editorial material! My second thought was...seriously...what's the plan? I love my friend but does he really know what it takes to get the female half ready to be in a wedding party...it's more than renting a tux?!? Dress? Hair? Shoes? Accessories? Nails?
With all these questions, I think this is best suited for ongoing updates on GetMarried so we can cover all the bases for any groomswoman in the same boat (and maybe I can even get the groom to contribute with the Dude's Point of View!)
Let's start with the dress...first of all, I was happy to learn it WAS a dress and not a girl-tux (as much as I love an amazing tuxedo pant - and yes, Jane Lynch can rock the YSL tux...I was hoping for a cute frock - and ideally with pockets!)
I immediately enlisted the help of one of my favorite bridal boutiques, Flutter Boutique and came up with a few options to run by the lovely bride and groom. Ultimately, we decided on something more structured so it would align best with the groomsmen's tuxes and not compete with the lace of the bridesmaids dresses.
Wa-la!! Here is our pick for the groomswoman dress...simple, classic and chic. The perfect LBD. Very Audrey Hepburn-esque. I ♥ it!
Black? Check. Short? Check. Pockets? Check. (Yahoo!). Ordered? Check.
Next on the list are shoes, accessories, hair, nails...and the bachelor party?!?! Stay tuned - especially when I get feature it as a Real Wedding this Fall!
Cheers!
