First I was amazed by those bouquets...until I saw the rest of the images of this Hollywood Glam Vintage 30's inspired wedding...
Stunning! Take a look for yourself...
Is it me or that hairpiece is simply spectacular?!?!

So, I've been willing to post about Hayley Marlise Photography for few days now, but just couldn't find the time to put the images together. Sorry Hayley...
Hayley is a friend of my fiancée and since when I first saw her blog and website, I fell in love with her pictures. Her job is just amazing.
The quality, creativity and attention to detail on her photos don't go unnoticed.
I will be posting some of her pictures for the next few days but for now, enjoy this photo session of Steph and Jeff on a marvelous Florida Wedding.
This sequence of pictures could be as an inspiration for all the brides out there thinking about a beach wedding or the new not-so-traditional "trash the dress" session. You know... after the wedding when you don't have to worry anymore about the ceremony or reception and just enjoy the photo shooting.
Just can't get enough of that picture in the water. How gorgeous is that??

Sometimes I have the feeling that wedding traditions are blowing away with the wind. More often than ever you see new ideas, new color combinations, new designs, new this and that...
The brides are always trying to come up with something unique and different, which I believe is great. I love new inspirations. (Even though I agree that some brides tend to exaggerate a little bit).
I was recently reading a wedding article stating that for the 2010 wedding season, the classic white gowns are taking a backseat and giving way to bold and vibrant hues. Hummm...Really???
I started to search around and surprising enough look what I found. These gorgeous wedding red dresses. Will this really be a new trend??? Let's wait and see....

Little while ago I had seen some very unique, not to say totally untraditional, unconventional and alternative brides bouquet online. For some reason, I totally forgot to bookmark where I had seen them and when I finally decided to go back to take a second look and share with the blogger brides here, I just couldn't trace my way back.
This weekend, surfing around some of my favorite blogs, that redirected me to another blog, and then on....I surprisingly found what I've been looking for: Buttons Bouquet by Princess Lasertron.
How much of a coincidence is that?
They are so cool. Look at the details... amazing.
I am now trying to figure a way to incorporate these cool bouquets in my wedding. I still think I'll keep my bouquet with my real lilies (that is the meaning of my name, by the way), but I could use them perhaps for my bridesmaids??? I love the vintage look and I am sure they girls will have fun with it.
Wish I could post all of them here, but there are just too many to choose from. Here are some of my favorites.

If you are thinking about decorating your tables in a beautifully inexpensive way, check this out.
The bride in this wedding spent the summer going to different flea markets with her mother looking for antique plates for the wedding dinner.
The result? A collection of mismatched plates, each with its own small detail that added a charming lovely look to the whole table set up.
What a brilliant idea!

According to the thousands of wedding check lists out there, it is about time to start looking for a venue if your wedding is within the next year.
With three possible dates in mind for October of 2010, I guess I am ready to start working on a list of possible locations for both, the ceremony and the reception.
I would love to find something with an urban setting, nothing too princess-like with boring ballrooms and huge chandeliers (it is NY after all, I am sure I'll find something like that). A place that will allow me to have some extra hours, besides the traditional that only leaves us with 4 hours for reception (having fun for as long as we can is a very important point here).
A nice view is a must (with so many guests from out of town, I believe I should be offering that also, besides, who can resist Manhattan's views???). Last but not least, a place not too pricey (I know...I know... almost impossible).
One of my first options is the Manhattan Penthouse located on 5th Ave close to Union Square. I've read great reviews about the venue and their executive caterer. Of the picture that I've seen, it looks classy but at the same time modern (with views, yeeeyy : -).
I cannot wait to check it person.
So, here I go, on my mission of the week. I promise to post as we start visiting the locations. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. :-)
Wish me good luck !!

Even if the color red is not a part of your wedding scheme, you've got to love these pictures.
The red was so elegantly blended in this celebration, that everything looks spectacular.
How simply and creative the flowers were arranged at the isle for the ceremony...
Very original details for great inspirations. I just can't get over the cake table with the submerged flowers.

About a year ago I remember seeing on TV a bride who wanted her wedding theme to be all about peacocks. Peacock feathers, peacock colors and even real peacocks at the reception. Back then, my reaction was the same as her wedding planner: Huh?!?! Peacocks?!?! That sounded just too much!!!
Today, if you look around, peacocks are everywhere... There are so many ways that you can actually incorporate the peacock theme into your wedding and go over the top!! It really does look beautiful...
If peacocks are on your mind, here are some inspirations:
