comfortable in my own skin

TUESDAY, JUNE 02, 2009
MIMIQUIX

today is my 45 birthday. i am happy. happy with seeing another year. happy with my family and being married. most of all i am happy with myself. i am comfortable in my own skin. it took sometime to get here but i am here and loving it. i have a awesome husband and my kids(24,19,17) are well and have stayed out of any major trouble. the are not perfect but i can truly say i like them for the people they have become. they still get on my nerves sometimes but i wouldn;t trade them.

Marriage is treating me well. i miss him because i have been gone to help my mother for another 30 days. he has been very supportive and cooperative. I hope to be as supportive as he has been to me. i always hope we will be friends as well as husband and wife. freindship is very important in any relationship.

months are passing

MIMIQUIX

it's been 9 months now. the time is passing by. can't wait for my first year anniversary. things have been going well between us. we did have our first fight but i can't even remember what it was about. we have had our little emergencies like the water pipe bursting and getting a $1000 water bill. cried on that one. i wish i had found out the pipe was burst earlier. well things happen. my mother getting sick. he has been very supportive. i had to go to georgia a second time and he didn't fuss. of course he did say it was the last tour for me. i can understand his point of view. i have been gone twice and for a extended amount of time. the first was for 28 days and this tour is 31 days long. a long time to be away from your home, husband and children. i even miss my daughter's dog.

I am still stuck on the wedding shows. my husband says i should be tired of them know, but you can learn how to do so much. besides i still smile about my little intimate wedding and i am glad i didn't have as many problems as some have. the worst thing that happened to me is my flower girl got cancelled. that was bad because it was so close to the wedding. But my nephew was my flower petal distributor. he was so cute in his suit. not conventional but it worked.

So, I guess married life is treating me right. though my head still shakes when my husband does some things. but he is just being himself and that's all i can hope for.

so let me know how you girls are doing.

Happy...

MIMIQUIX

I know it's been quite awhile since i have written something new. But I'd like you all to know that thing are going very well. Marriage agrees with me. Apparently it agrees with my husband too. He remember our 6 month anniversay. I feel lucky.

My mother got very ill and i went to see her and there was no problem. i had his full support. Better yet my mom needed someone to come stay with her for awhile.......22days was my tour of duty. He didn't make a fuss he just said that's a long time. He missed me and I missed him. We talked on the phone alot and when i came home the was a heart made out of my favorite candy on my pillow. I thought that was the sweetest thing. It really is the little things you remember. I know the big things count but our lives are made up of so many little things. Little things that add up to the fibers of our lives. He even asked me if I had to go back to help my mother. Of course I do not know that one yet. But I am hoping she will get even stronger.

I mentioned that my tour of duty was 22 days long. they were not bad days.....a lot of work though. My mother had several ulcers on her stomach. they were caused by a fungus and that had to be cut away. now my mother has went though alot and has to learn how to do things over again. things like mover her legs and strengthen her whole body. She is bed written but getting stronger. For a time we thought we might loss her but everything is coming together. My older sister has the next tour of duty.....30 days. i think if we keep working together we will stay ahead of the game and my mom will get better.

I'll keep you posted and you ladies and gents take care.

already six months

MIMIQUIX

well girls,

i can't believe it's 6 months since my wedding. time has flew by. we did have our bumps in the road. getting use to having each other around constantly. trying to rearrange the house so everything will fit. now that was a chore. my children getting use to having my husband around. especially the boys. they had to give up their position as the men in the house. the are very opinionated. now really problems with my daughter getting along. my youngest is 17 and a junior in high school and my 19 year old has started his post high school education. were has the time flown. all my children are all most all grown. so the will be starting lives of there own.

so as things go I like being married and i love my husband but better yet i really liike him as a person. not that he doesn't get on my nerve occasionally. but i can stand the little stuff.

2 homes in one

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 04, 2009
MIMIQUIX

Well girls, we have finally moved two houses into one. My I say it was a true chore. I just didn't realize how much stuff he had and what to keep and what to throw away. Needless to say I did throw away a few things that I shouldn't have. But that comes with the territory. My kids 24,19,17 did most of the moving.  May I say they were real troopers. After dozen of small trips and one large trip with the moving company it was done.  packing was a chore but unpacking is the hardest because he keeps putting it off and never wants to throw anything away.

Then there was the milestone of actually beginning to live together. That was a new mission in itself. I was nervous, he was nervous. the only thing was he didn't show his , so he was very quiet. I took as he was unhappy with the move he had just made. He wasn't just a new place and a new circumstance. Then we had to learn how to talk to each other all over again. It is easy to communicate thing when you not living with each other. Well should I say easier. It is much harder when you have to learn to live with each other. Each persons personality. New habit you learn about. Living with each other is a totally different situation. If you don't or are not willing to learn to live together with respect you are doomed. Well let's say there is a crack in your foundation from the very start. So I advise everyone to talk and really learn to live with each other. I don't mean live under one roof. i mean really learn how to leave together as two people and one couple. It has been a real experience for me. I am learning new things every day. Sometime I want to laugh other time and I am left with my mouth hanging open.

well I am going to let you guy go for now. talk to you later.
