I have been doing some not so extensive research on wedding Bands in Atlanta. We have decided to go with a Band as opposed to a DJ simply because it very much reflects our style! I know I posted a sneak peek just the other day...but I just had to show off some more! As well as Amy Stanley's incredible work!!

This is my Grandfather's fence on his farm in Dacula, Ga. Over 200 acres of green grass and blue skies, is there anything more beautiful? Not to mention the LOVE birds that rolled around in the fields! How were your engagement photo sessions? Any unique ideas?

PS- We booked a venue! July 10, 2010 we are getting married at the Abbey!! We are also staying in midtown Atlanta at the Georgian Terrace hotel-which is right across from the fabulous Fox Theatre-we're hoping for some awesome Wedding Day pictures!!!

At least we've narrowed it down?~! There were 5 venues on my list, we are down to The Abbey at St. Paul's in Midtown, Atlanta(pictured) and Chateau Elan(FH's choice not mine). Not that Chateau Elan isn't as close to a fairytale wedding as it gets-I just don't think it is where I want to get married..

I wish I was one of those girls who had always dreamed of getting married on a certain day, during a certain time of year, at a certain place! It would make all of this(wedding planning) SO much easier!! Don't you agree?

I did have my heart set on finding the perfect man, which I DID!

However, I never had my heart set on any other specifics-which leaves all of my options open- to find that perfect place. And so, Without further ado...

It is such a beautiful cathedral, inside and out! I have known about this place my entire adult life, and never dreamed that I could get married here! Well, I am premature as we haven't booked anything yet. So, what do you think? Should we book this weekend? Also- if this is THE PLACE-any ideas for colors?

 I had no luck with my venue search last week. And so we will all commence again tomorrow morning!

This time we will be in the city, Inman Park, to be exact. We are looking at a very unique place: the Trolley Barn. No they do not raise cattle here, it has been completely remodeled from what it once was.

I live in Atlanta, actually I am just north of the city in Alpharetta. For those of you in Atlanta, you all know how many great venues and restaurants there are here. For those elsewhere, I know your city has just as many great places! We, however, get to have southern nights under city lights. Talk about the best of both worlds! It's Mary Macs Tea Room for the best southern food in the south, then off to the Fabulous Fox theatre for an off Broadway show! Both within walking distance...what more can you ask for? The only thing I would ask is for there to be less wedding venues to choose from, but why would I do that? I wouldn't get to show you this...

Above is the Egyptian Ballroom at the Fabulous Fox. It is one of the many gorgeous venues that I am looking at! I am also looking outside the city, Windermere Golf and Country Club in Cumming,Ga.

This is a view of their possible outdoor ceremony location.(I am REALLY loving this one, and trying not to get my hopes up!) Here is a view of the indoor reception ballroom...Beautiful!

Ryan, my mom and I are going to check out both places this weekend!!! Wish us luck...: 0

I have found him ladies! The perfect man!! I'm sorry, but he is all mine, well he will be on July 10, 2010. I speak of him often, he is Ryan Bilthouse and he is IT!!!

Over chinese food one random Friday night, I was enjoying the best hot and sour soup I had ever had, when Ryan told me to open my fortune cookie. As I open it, he is kneeling on one knee beside me. I start to lose my breath and my eyes fill up with tears. The words hand written on my fortune cookie read: will you marry me?

I call this the picture that says a thousand words! As you can tell I was so surprised that I could not say any of them. I did, however, manage to take my hand away long enough to scream "YES, OF COURSE!"

This picture captures the most wonderful moment of my entire life!! I'm going to be a Bilthouse!!!
