My daughter has changed her mind about being my one of my two maids of honor and so that leaves me with a dress! My aunt has offered to step in her place, but she is getting married this December! So the question is, how would it look if I have three matrons of honor? Honestly!
It has been a while since I've blogged and I've accomplished a little more since. This past friday I shed my first set of wedding planning tears! We were prepared to pay for our reception venue on friday afternoon. I decided to call first to remind them that we were coming in, and that is when the receptionist informed me that the building had been booked on my wedding date. I was speechless, and all I could think about was a wedding and no reception AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, I called my Aunt and finally got my head together. I called both the chapel and the florist and they agreed to change to the following weekend for me without paying additional fees. Thank You Jesus!!! Anyway, so I call the museum back and agree to the following weekend November 13, 2010! We arrived immediately to reserve the building. I was so comfortable with my November 6th wedding date, and it just seemed terrible to have the change. Now, I'm kinda okay and I am trying to gain the positive from this. I know that everything happens for a reason and maybe God saw something about the 6th that wasn't for his child! Planning ahead has helped me sooo much! I see I'm not the only one that is planning way ahead of time. So far, I have chosen my bouquets, both ceremony and reception sites have been reserved, all bridemaids dresses are in with the exception of one, and I'm complete with the exception of undergarments. What's next?
I am really beginning to appreciate my planning early more and more. My FH accidentally threw the bag containing two of my sashes for the bridesmaids in the trash. Gone, but can be re-ordered. I delivered three of the bridesmaids' orders on Sunday after picking up their completed pieces on Saturday. Guess what, one bridesmaids' dress was the wrong size and split when she tried it on. She says that the size the bridal shop recorded is what was ordered. Thank you for planning early because the skirt can be exchanged and re-ordered in a larger size. Saturday when my order came in for pick up, GUESS WHAT? The bridal shop ordered one of the dresses for the bridesmaids in the right size, but wrong color. IT ALSO HAS TO BE RE-ORDERED! I am not sweating it though, because I have the time to calmly plan this wedding the way I want it to prevent the many frustrations that I could possibly have when meeting deadlines. I'm telling you, doing whatever you can do ahead of time, leaves room for other tasks and less stress and frustration. My wedding is the first Saturday in November 2010, and I will make it my business to have all dresses, sashes, and flowers for the sashes completed by January 2010. Our next project will be shoes and jewelry. I want to be completed with that by July 2010. I know everyone has a career, family, and etc. There are comfortable time frames for my bridesmaids, both timewise and financially. There should be NO LOVE LOSS!
I haven't blogged in awhile now. All dresses are ordered with the exception of one. My candy buffett containers are now complete. So much has completed and now I am sometimes anxious for the day to come. Then, I get nervous and embrace the time I have left to plan. I will enjoy the day after when I can live life normal again. Imagine, I can sleep, shop, anything without the thought of a checklist or anything concerning a wedding. I will just have the new resposibility of being a wife. I can't remember what it feels like to just have simple thoughts.
Today was wonderful! I had my first meeting with both my florist and my matron at Hobby Lobby to choose the flowers for the bridesmaids bouquets and centerpieces. They are beautiful!!!! I am still undecided about mine. This only happens once, supposed to be anyways, so I want mine to be absolutely gorgeous. My new wedding planner arrived today from Celebrations for free. It is soooo nice, you have to check that out. Well I am tired from such a busy day. Bye for now.
Seventeen months and counting! I have been home on this internet all day in search of the iron or brass flowers towers that I have to have. I'm so excited because as of today, my autumn splendor collection was completed after the Fed X guy delivered my cake knives!

Isn't this a beautiful collection for my autumn theme. I have everything here except the glasses and the garter. I don't like the glasses, so I am doing Lenox's Fire Light Gold. I love the garter, but I purchased both my garter and tossing garter because I found the ones that match my gown perfectly. If there were a need for a third garter though, I would definitely pick this one too. Please give me some good fall ideas because it's never too late for me to change or add anything with 17 months to go!!!
I am one excited bride!!! Yesterday I ordered three more dresses. Yea, only two more to go along with the sashes and the flower for them. I was thinking about doing the candy buffet and went into Ross, MY DECISION WAS COMFIRMED!!! There they were, so many glass containers, including lids, reasonably priced, and I bought four of them in different heights and sizes. I walked into Hobby Lobby and I could have screamed and skipped through the store. They have all of there fall decor and flowers out. I was sooo excited and I didn't want to leave. I immediately called one of my matrons and my florist/decorator and we will meet there Wednesday! YEA!!!!!!!!! Time is moving. I want EVERYTHING done by October sixth!!!!!! That should only leave me a few things to stress about and eliminate any that I can early in the process. I can't stop saying how excited I am. Until next time, because I have to get back to work.
Well, this is my first time blogging, but I have been reading all the post for some time now. My wedding is in November of 2010 and I am almost done with everything. I have my dress, veil, tiara......, the two matrons and maid dresses arrived early and I picked them up on Tuesday. Now we will order the remaining by the end of this month. Everything is being done in hopes that this wedding/reception is as stress free as possible. We have various ceremony essentials that were ordered and have arrived. The chapel has been reserved and the location for the reception will be paid for next month. Then I can breath and order invitation. You know that the venues that you want (so badly) are the most important task next to selecting the gown. My wedding theme is Enchanted Autumn and the colors are copper, espresso, ivory/champagne, and gold. I have everything selected, but I welcome any ideas for a fall wedding and reception. If anyone knows where I can purchase 24 beautiful brown or bronze wrought iron flower towers or vases for centerpieces please let me know.

I am 33 years of age, the mother of one 14 year old daughter. I am a college graduate and I am honorably discharged from The United States Air Force. Frederick and I have been together five years this December. Although we have had our share of rocky roads and mountains to climb, I feel blessed. We know one another because of the lessons that we have had to take throughout this relationship. There have been many thunderstorms (trials), many tornadoes (people), and rain showers (obstacles) that have thrown our relationship in every possible direction, but somehow, we rode out those storms in order to maintain our relationship. With that being said, I know that we will have a rock hard solid marriage. We have been willing to admit our wrongs, make healthy changes, be open to learn, and willing to grow! Most importantly, the ability to FORGIVE!!!We will make this vow before God, family, and friends on the 6th day of November 2010 @ 4:00P.M., and oh how excited and delighted am I to become his wife.
