For the bride who wants to be noticed, Rivini has created your gown. This collection is sleek and chic with the emphasis on flattering you, the bride. The beautiful detail of these classic silhouettes were made even more spectacular when paired with thick crystal and jeweled encrusted necklaces. This collection also features a lot of play on neck lines; single shouldered gowns, off the shoulder, sweetheart cuts and strapless pieces. The overall mood of these Spring 2010 designs is light, airy and mystical incorporating clouds of tulle and tissue organza. This theme is accentuated in each and every piece of the collection with the beautiful craftsmanship that is Rivini. To see past collections go to the fashion pages of getmarried.com.

The St. Pucchi 2010 collection rocked the runway, literally. Every gown glistened down the runway adorned with crystals, pearls and jewels. Fashion Week is finally here and this show was a great way to start off! There’s no other way to describe Gilles Montezin’s show tonight than dramatic, romantic, and organic. We arrived in an amazingly intimate and artistic studio and were surrounded by beautiful strolling models displaying his new collection. Instantly you could notice the uniqueness in the fabric and textures of these gowns. Each dress is even crafted with antique lace on the inside lining making it just as beautiful on the inside as the outside. Another cool feature of his dresses is the Le Chic body shaper, which helps every girl achieve their perfect shape! What's so cool is that the inspiration behind this collection comes from the art form of opera and celebrates a woman’s body.

Each can be customized however you would like and even comes with a tossing garter - so you can hold onto your keepsake afterwards (well thought out- love it!).
These sentimental little good luck charms are perfect for any bride looking to bring a little attention to detail into her big day!
Now what's your garter style?:
Are you Classic or Traditional?:

Are you a sassy bride?:
Or perhaps you need ‘Something Blue'?:
Want something especially for you?:
About the Garter Tradition:
The garter tradition originated back to the 14th century in Europe when it was believed that to have a piece of the bride's clothing brought good luck. So rather than destroy the brides dress, taking bits and pieces of the fabric...the garter toss became customary.
Now, brides wear two garters, one as a keepsake garter (and to be removed on the honeymoon) and one to toss into the crowd....check out today's episode to find out more about this great tradition as Julianne Smith shares her expert tips on updating this ceremonial custom for the modern bride.

Brides Battle for Bargains at Filene's Basement's legendary RUNNING OF THE BRIDES® sale
It's shopping as a full-contact sport. And the women who take part in the Running of the Brides® at Filene's Basement wouldn't have it any other way.
Since the first Bridal Gown Sale at the original Filene's Basement in Boston in 1947, brides-to-be have been getting great deals on wedding gowns and having a ball doing it.

Hundreds of brides-to-be and their helpers line up during the night to be among the first in line when the store opens for this one-day sale of wedding gowns. Each bride is hoping to find the wedding gown of her dreams at a drastically reduced price.

Anywhere from 1700 to 300 gowns (depending on the store), sizes 2 to 26, all from designer and famous name bridal houses are priced at $249, $499 and $699.

When the doors part, there's the "rush to the racks" by hundreds of brides-to-be and their helpers. They grab armloads of dresses and try them on in the aisles; then, one bride's team members will barter with another team to get the perfect dress. Some groups create team ‘uniforms' so they can find each other in the crowd.

Chaos reigns for the first hour, followed by shrieks of excitement, (happy) tears and applause when each bride finds THE ONE.
