When looking for a wedding photo and video service, your first and foremost goal should be to find a videographer/photographer that you connect with. What does that mean? A photographer might be amazing at taking photos, but if you can not connect on a personal level, they may not be able to get the best out of you and/or capture the best of your wedding day... Your photographer/videographer should be someone that you would invite to a family outing as part of the family. (This is not saying of course, that you should...LOL)
1) You should meet with at least 3 different companies, if not more...
2) If you book a photographer/videographer through a wedding planner; make sure that you set a meeting with them personally; This way, you have at least 1 face to face meeting before you decide.
3) If it is in your budget, try to schedule an engagement session prior to the wedding. The photos will make for great table cards and an amazing signing book, but most importantly, the photographer/videographer will have the opportunity to work with you at least once before the day of the wedding.
This photo session will help everyone get over the first photo jitters, let you see an image of yourself through their eyes, and it will give you the opportunity to see if their style and direction is comfortable for you.
Again, most importantly, you will get to know each other a little bit better before the day of the wedding.

There are many styles your wedding day could be captured in. Your personal style begins to take shape when we, as little girls, are first old enough to believe in fairytale princesses and happily ever afters...
For most of us, this goes back as far as we can remember. We imagine who prince charming could be, we play dress up and practice saying "I do's" and with age we start picking out dresses, flowers, locations... the list could be endless for the average young lady trying to plan the perfect wedding for her priceless day full of memories.
Your wedding video and photos are going to be the only way back to this day full of dreams come true. So, capturing the mood and style is of the utmost importance. When sitting down with your videographer and photographer, you should discuss the type of memories that will be the most important to you. For every bride, this is different and it will affect the style in which your photo/video is produced and captured.
Examples of different styles would be:
European
Cinematic
dramatic
romantic
music video
classic romantic
mysterious
fashion
etc.
