I just returned from The Fancy Food Show here in NYC where I saw all new trends related to food! The show is North America's largest specialty food and beverage marketplace. I met thousands of exhibitors from around the world. Many of them introduced me to products perfect for weddings, showers, and bachelorette parties. Below are some of my fabulous finds!
I saw lots of chocolate at the show. A company named Choclatique immediately caught my eye. I was excited to see its beautiful Wedding Cake Piece & 3-Tiered Wedding Cake – all perfect for favors. Each piece is carefully filled with Angel Food Cake and luscious Strawberries 'n Cream Ganache, then cast in a proprietary white chocolate shell with a stripe of strawberry white chocolate. The Wedding Cake comes in gold 3-piece boxes or individual pieces. Choclatique also just released a jewel box collection where brides can customize chocolate gifts based on birth sign. Each piece of chocolate is made to look like a different gem. Brides can give these great gifts to their future husband, in laws, and even bridal party. The best part about this is the chocolate ….IT IS DELICIOUS!
This next product is geared to Tea Lovers. Harney & Sons offers tea options for weddings. Whether as a wedding favor for your guests, a small bridal shower gift, or as something special in addition to a wedding gift their Wedding Tea is an elegant blend of flavors. Mutan White tea is infused with a hint of lemon-vanilla, and then pink rosebuds are added, to represent the bloom of new love. The wedding tea comes in silken tea sachets. Brides can Choose either a vintage tin with 20 sachets, or a tagalong tin with 5 sachets. The tagalong tea tin can also be personalized with the couple's first names and wedding date.
If you love popcorn, then definitely check out Lehi Valley Trading Company. Brides can easily use this popcorn to create a popcorn buffet bar on wedding day. There are so many different colored and flavored popcorn from which to pick. ‘Awesome Apple Popcorn’ & ‘Poppin Peach Popcorn’ are just two of the many fabulous flavors. Brides might even be able to match the popcorn to their color scheme.
Specialty Foods Holding has a colorful hard candy collection that can be used with a dessert/favors candy bar, in welcome bags, or as favors during a shower or bachelorette party. I really enjoyed this collection’s colors. The photo below shows many summer colors, but they also offer more seasonal Christmas colors, which fall/winter brides are sure to love!
Creative Cookie Etc. has come up with a tasty way to get personal with adorable celebration cakes, which are packaged in their own microwave safe cooking bowl and include cake mix, frosting, and sprinkles. All you have to do is mix with water, microwave, decorate, and celebrate. In just a few minutes guests of a wedding can enjoy this marvelous mini cake. Brides can order custom messages and/or logos on preprinted labels.
I was very impressed with a company called Pelican Bay. All of its products are easy-to-prepare mixes including specialty bread mixes, cookie mixes, seasoning blends, dip mixes, cool drinks and hot drinks. Every bride will find a mix that they are sure to love. I am a huge fan of their red velvet mix and selection of cocktails including margaritas and hurricanes! These products are great for favors and can easily be incorporated into any shower or themed party.
