Bridesmaids Dresses

JILL MEISTER

Over the past few years I have attended weddings where the bridesmaids wore beautiful dark colored gowns - many of my friends picked black gowns for their girls, I picked dark navy for mine, and this past winter I saw a lot of deep purples. Now, as summer weddings are getting into full swing I am seeing tons and tons of amazing colors for bridesmaid dresses - yellow, green, orange, pink, you name it! It seems that almost every color is hot this summer. I love dark, light, bright, and even two toned dresses. There are so many from which to pick and it all comes down to your personal taste.

So...What is your favorite color bridesmaid dress out there? What color bridesmaid dress
did you pick for your wedding? Do you prefer dark colors or bright lighter colors? Tell me about all the colors you are seeing!

Hi... This is my second wedding and I am 40. I ahve two daughters, who are 10 and 8, daughter in law and a cousin who are both in their 20's and with the differnt age groups I chose pink. My two daughters i chose a soft pink and the olders ones chose a darker pink. Becasue of the different ages I wanted them to feel comfortable in what they would wear. i did pick a darker pick rose for all my flowers at the wedding but toned it down at the reception(diff location) with a lighter pink. Since I could not decide on a certain pink tone i went with 2 differnt types. I think it is what you like and the soft colors or pastels are great for summer. Best wishes!

I think a darker tone dress, like navy, would look great- even in the summer! Especially if you accessorize with bright shoes and jewelry and use bright flowers in the bouquets.

My girls are wearing navy too! I choose navy because it was dark and neutral but not black. Plus my wedding is in November so it goes perfectly with the season. However, for summer weddings I love bright colors to match the feel of the flowers and weather.

I like the pinks I am seeing lately. I think it is nice for summer and fall. I also like all shades of green and blue including navy.
