Stacie Francombe
Founder & president
Stacie Francombe is the founder and president of Get Married Media, a
national, integrated multi-media wedding planning resource that reaches
passionate brides through a highly synergized, tri-media platform on television
(season 3 airing on WE tv starting January 2, 2010), online (www.GetMarried.com) and in print (Get Married magazine).
With more than a decade in broadcast television news and a lifetime
passion for all things bridal, Stacie wanted to create something special
that would educate and inform brides. Realizing the synergy between
television and online information, Stacie piloted the launch of Get
Married Atlanta in January 2006, produced in-house by a company she
founded, Reel Creative, a full-service production company. It was the
success of this show and online concept that led to the creation of Get
Married on a national scale, bringing the concepts to television
audience nationwide as well as a worldwide resource online.
Driven by unique video and content, GetMarried.com, Get Married magazine
and Get Married's show on WE tv provide brides and wedding professionals
with inspiring ideas, quality connections and fantastic finds to create
a personalized and memorable wedding.
Stacie started her career while in college at Ohio State University,
working as an intern and then as a production assistant in the sports
department of the NBC affiliate in Columbus, Ohio. After graduation, she
moved to Atlanta in 1997 and joined the then start-up CNN Sports
Illustrated cable network as an editor and associate producer.
Realizing her flair for television and her quick-witted thinking, Stacie
quickly became a key producer for CNN International's global sports
coverage. In 1998, she joined TBS as a writer-producer and continued to
develop her talents as a producer and writer.
In 1999, Stacie founded Reel Creative, working tirelessly to build her
company's reputation as a boutique production house by offering services
to a wide range of broadcast and corporate clients. During this time,
Stacie married her former boss from CNN, Dave, and, in time, convinced
him to join Get Married as its creative director and now leads the
company's brand strategy.
Stacie currently lives in Atlanta with her husband and three sons.
